What are you dyno testing for the Spec V community?

Just like the title says.  It can either be dyno testing or even a new idea that you think will work and it's worth a shot in tring, *but be realistic.

I'll start it off.

1. Dyno testing the BC cams.
2. Dyno testing the secondary butterflies opening at different rpms.

Re: What are you dyno testing for the Spec V community?

fyi opening the butterflies at different rpms isnt the same as vtech.  you would want to do a run with em up the entire pull and then closed for another pull... combine the two graphs and see where the lines meet, that rpm will be the best place to open the butterflies.

thats what some ppl said but they never tried it tho. you dont have to do all that.  All you have to do is see where your tq line starts to drop then thats where u set the rpms so top end can take over.

Re: What are you dyno testing for the Spec V community?

I'm going to test a QR-pro with a data logger/dyno and see what is really does.

Two intake cams with an adjustable WRP exhaust sprocket, I just feel like this is the missing piece on this.

with a base dyno? or does a base dyno not matter with the crank swap or ms? or is the purpose to dyno the e85

Re: What are you dyno testing for the Spec V community?

baseline will probably show losing power... the crank is heavier, robs more power.  swapping in an 07 crank isn't going to give horsepower.  smiley-wink

I still don't quite understand why yours lopes so much with the Stage 2's....mine barely lopes at all with the Stage 3's.

4 degrees shouldn't make that big of a difference though.....it's weird.  That code you were throwing for the IVC solenoid makes me think the cam timing isn't right.
