Fuel pump
turn the key all the way on but not start and you'll hear the pump prime
wait like 3-5 seconds then try
i think its 3rd click on ignition

Let me word it different
Just turn the key till all the power is on and all your dash lights are on and the radio and stuff.
Wait 5 seconds then crank it and it should start right up. I have the same issue along with many others.(our fuel pumps suck).
I have to do this everytime I start the car.
If you listen good, right when u turn the key you can hear the pump turn on.
Its like a buzzing sound coming from near the driver rear wheel.
Right when you turn the key on you can hear it prime for 2-4 seconds then it stops. Thats when I start the car.
Lemme know if it works out for ya.

Or you can just order this part from the dealer and never have the problem again its lil expensive it was like 200.00 bucks (over priced!!) but i dont regreat buying it i never had this issue again after i purchsed this go here for the info>>>>> http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Bul … 05-052.htm what i think is really gay is that i know at least 3 other sentra's in my area that had the same issue and once they installed this the problem was fixed idk why the hell nissan didnt do a recall on this instead all they did was a bulletin

im not sure. Its probably stock, I bought the car used about two months ago.
And pimpsmurf, I have pushed the gas to raise the idle to about 2000 to 2500 and once in a while the rpms will drop a couple hundred rpm after returning to normal. Is this something I should worry about? I also notice every once in a while when im driving under normal conditions I can feel a bump in the rpms, like it lowers while im driving then goes back to normal. Other than that I think the car is normal but like I said I got it used so im not sure how it was new.
Oh and Skinzdog, If I replaced the fuel pump whould I use OEM or is there an aftermarket pump that works better?
