i wanted my map lights to come on when i open the doors or hit the alrm button, not just the center dome light. i replaced my map lights with super bright blue leds and it lights up the whole interior. i dont know if the b15's map lights come on with the door or if theres a how to but has anyone attempted this or knows how?

go in the FSM and find the wire schematic for the map lights, and then figure out how to tap them into the body control module (which controls lots of fun shit)

just find the fuse for the dome light, wrap a small wire around the side of the fuse and slide it back in. do the same on the map light fuse. this SHOULD trigger the map lights to come as the dome light is activated.
not sure...

lol or cause a direct short and blow both fuses and or start an electrical fire.

why/how would it do that? ur talking minimal voltage AND its just a matter of turning the map lights on, which needs electricity which the wire conducts.

i know what your saying jeff. i wonder if there is a alternative way

how, you dont need voltage to start an electrical fire, its amperage that does it. to many amps threw a certain circuit that isnt built for it will either A burn out the fuse and create a open circuit or B start an electrical fire.
I wasnt say what you said was wrong jeff, i was just stating putting pulling power from one place and putting power to something else that has power already probably isnt the smartest idea. how about you just make a new circuit, fuse it. and wire in the map lights to the body control module wire that controls the dome light. thus when the doors are open BAM your map lights turn on. or wire it to what ever else makes you happy.
idk
.02cents take it how you wish.

look up in the FSM the body control module and the map lights circuit and trace them out, and dont be lazy and learn something.
then you can be a cool kid and make a how-to.
does someone have to hold your hand when your cross the street also? or does that require a how-to as well

if your trying to imply that i was some how twisted in with asking the site members for money, you sir can go fuck off. That was Jeff, and that was out of people actually caring. I got no money from that btw. So lets keep this on topic.

i didnt attack you, i simply gave you the answer in a asshole comment. to help push you to go find a answer. i guess that doesnt work well. ill try a different method next time.
i rubbed my turbo already tho.

yes, and you dont have to cut them per say. they make cool items called wire taps.
the work 50% of the time. but when they do they are awesome.
