I have the Tanabe Axleback so I'm assuming the installation will be exactly like the Stillen installation. In Stillen's instructions, they say be sure to remove the "Ground" first. I'm wondering if they're talking about the negative battery cable or is there something else that is grounded to the exhaust that I need to find. The pictures for Stillen's install does not specify. Here is a link to the install:

Can anyone give me any insight into this?

i never understood why you have to undo the negative battery cable for things that arent electronic so i always left it hooked up. besides its too much work to reset the clock on my radio.
seriously i work on electronics on an aircraft and i cant make sense of it.

So they ARE talking about the battery cable? Thanks for your help man! I guess my car isn't as complicated as an aircraft so I'll take your word for it.

There is a little cable on the exhaust that runs to a point on the chassis.
This prevents static charge buildup, or so I understand. I left it off to see if I can make fireballs with my rich-as-hell exhaust. No such luck yet, lol.

Yeah that little piece of wire they put on to ground looks like shit. It already looks like mine is corroding. I ordered my axleback today, and when I install it, I plan to make my own little grounding wire to replace the piece of shit that is on there. I'll let everyone know how it turns out, It is supposed to be here on thursday.

BTW, I installed my system. It's been installed for about a week now. I'll write about my impressions of it later. Right now I'm going to get some food!
