First off let me say these mounts are SOLID!
With the idle set at 700 RPM it rattled pretty badly. and comming off idle the whole car shuddered like if you were about to stall even when babying the clutch.
After raising the idle to 950 with the Consult-II Vibrations at idle are almost the same as MMI's with A/C on.
These mounts are AMAZING though. Throttle response is instant no waiting for the stock mounts to squat a little bit. The jerking around when your in 1st at too low RPM is gone. and whats wheel hop again?
From what i was told these are press in mounts i receieved everything complete and prepressed from Worldcrafter he knows of a way to get them in without taking it to a shop im sure he'll chime in and ill add it up here.
ill have to get videos of a launch with these mounts on
as for eta ive sent a email to them asking ill let you guys know ASAP.
im also uploading a video of my car starting up with the mounts in
heres the pics
Remove 3 or 4 spider clips from this plastic piece
Remove 2 17mm bolts here
Remove 2 12mm(i think could be 10mm) bolts here
Remove 2 17mm bolts here
Remove 14mm bolt holding the front mount
Remove 14mm bolt holding the rear mount you may need a small extension
You can now drop the whole crossmemeber out

Remove 2 17mm bolts and nuts
Rear Mounts

Remove 2 14mm bolts
front mounts

Lube the mounts with grease or petroleum jelly pick your poison
Do everything in Reverse order and your good to go!
One thing though. if you do have the $4 washer mod. it is a PITA getting them back in because the rear mount is now centered instead of offset like the stock one

Damn, looks nice, do you know how much these will go for? and with the hole being centered is there any negative effects to it? other that it being harder to get the 4 dollar wheel hop mod back in.

i have not noticed anything bad with having the mounts centered. my guess is about $100 they still havent gotten back to me yet

whose bright Idea was it to center the rear motor mount???

This is the one thing that would keep me from purchasing these. I already had to use a pry bar to install my $5 w.h.a. on the rear of the crossmember, so these would most likely make it impossible to run both.
On the other hand, Trav's solid mounts are offset and, I would imagine, cheaper as well...

there is nothing wrong with centering the mount. all you gotta do is move a few washers from above the crossmember to below

I'm not using metal washers, I'm using 1/4" UHMW washers so there is only one washer above the crossmember.
Also, wouldn't centering the mount raise the engine up a bit, thereby raising the center of gravity on our front ends?

if you look closely at the stock mount. as soon as you drop whatever your using to hold the motor up while getting the bolt back in the mounts will sag and center. that is why they made them offcenter.
if anything these mounts will lower the motor down becuase they wont sag. either way itll only raise the crossmember. not the mounts.
travis's mounts are CUSTOM and probally not cheap. not trying to bag on him. but some people dont want solid metal mounts but dont want to deal with the mmi's wanting to pop out. so thats why these are here

^Ok, makes sense to me now. When will these be available?
If anyone is interested, I'd like to go halves on a set. With just the front mount I could keep my $5 w.h.a. and also keep vibrations down...

I got mine in today. No one at the performance machine shop, or the racers I talked to had seen anything as big, heavy, strong, rigid, or awsome as this. Seriously, I had the mustang guys saying "do they make them for mustangs?!?!" haha
Fucking cool.
I will call these ES MMIs x 2. I don't think I will need the torque damper anymore, but a idle rpm change is definately going to be needed.
Here is some info for the people who are going to buy them. You don't get them all pretty in mounts like is shown. They come as inserts. NOT inserts like ES makes! Don't do what I did and take a blow torque to melt the old rubber out of the mount. FUCK that was dumb. You have to have them professionally installed. You need to find a shop of some sort with a press. They can press out the old motor mounts from the metal part of the mount, and then they will need to press these in.
Also, I'm not sure if the metal should be in or out when pressing these in. I would guess they need to be out.
Quality of the product? 10 out of 10. This shit is fantastic. I was very happy to receive them. I ordered them from suspension.com and he went ahead and ordered extras so everyone wanting them can consider using suspension.com
I think the cost was around $60 or so. VERY good price for solid urathane MM replacements.

How would the rattle effect a DD? I havent put any mounts or anything on my car yet so I havent experienced any change from the stock skwishy mounts. I just got in the urathan mounts from rob5625 and I'll be putting them in this weekend but, I really dont know what to expect in vibrations.
I was thinking of getting a RA TQ damper...and I need a new engine so soon enough my Spec will be in a shop getting torn apart and I could just drop these in.
But like I said I'm a DD and I dont know what to expect in vibratin so I'm a little scared when people say vibs are bad...
