Yo trav I'm starting my vqswap this weekend and I need a little advice if possible. I tried to go pick up my block and didnt pick it up because I'm still unsure if it needs to be previously from an ser 6spd 3.5 specifically or can I use any nissan vq from 02-06

after all the questions u were asking, talking to us like ALL YOU NEEDED was mounts to finish the project, the truth comes out. You arent in the middle or even in the process. Dude, save yourself the headache and take ur car to Travis. NO ONE has finished a VQ swap on their own. They either need Travis to make the wire harness, make the mounts, etc. so before u get in over ur head which it sounds like u already are by even THINKING you can do this yourself, just pay him.

I hate to say this.. but, I think these guys are right... Definitely take it to Travis.. That guy does some AWESOME work!

actually, just start it on your own.. mess up like we all know you will, and then send it to travis so he can charge you more. and you will pay his price because no one else will be able to get it working correctly. sounds good to me!

Mounts are the easiest part of the swap.
Hint: Read though pages (of the '02 FSM's) EC-1305-1314 of the Sentra FSM, then pages EC-139-149 of the Maxima FSM and figure out what items of the Sentra need to comply with the Maxima ECU.
Just take it to Travis if you don't know wiring/schematics/square wave/electrical engineering.

I heard from Travis on the first of the month and he was trying to get everything up and running. He said he will have internet by around the ninth of this month, I imagine we will all hear from him then.

where are you located? I am the only one on here that posts who has a VQ sentra done without travis doing the harness/mounts. mounts are the easy part, but you will save yourself more money and time to take or ship it to louisana. I am on my 3rd VQ, and still trouble shooting my issues. no one else seems to have any problems on here running the stock ECU. but to get it working properly seems to be nearly impossible. every shop I took the car to told me no. the only other shop who could actually get your car running is VQswap.com. and then you have to pay 2300 for harness and EMS. then labor for cable throttle body conversion +throttle body. no AC, no TAC/Speedo. then you have to pay to get it tuned.
I would have just taken it to travis. your looking at money pit if you don't.
if feel the need to be stuborn like myself, PM me and I will tell you as much as I know about swapping.

Jimmy.. I will have Internet back on the 9th.. I only have my iPhone right now. I'm waiting on those two plugs to show up. I had to buy another sentra harness just to get them.
