my spec starting to squeal like a pig under braking yesterday, so i decided to tear into it this morning and find out what was going on.
original rotors:

note the chunks of material completely missing from the RF rotor.

new hardware:

and a before and after for both rotors and pads. the noise was coming from a pad that had completely worn down, and the backing plate was starting to chew away at the rotor.

both pads in the below picture came from the same rotor, and were both used (OEM parts). one has normal wear, other is completely lifeless. scary shit.

ever since i got my car the brakes have squeled during certain braking. I read a thing though saying it was perfectly normal for Brembo brakes, and ive checked my brakes and rotors, its just that the brembo pads themself are a harder material.

naw, it was the foolish 1st owner of the car. it came from Massachusetts or Rhode Island, so he must have been braking to avoid reindeer and drunk cops everyday!

i just had this same problem on the right front also! it would squeak like crazy just driving down the road. sometimes it got really loud n obnoxious. ive only had the spec for 3 1/2 months, the outer pad looked almost brand new but the inner pad was just about gone. what would cause that inner pad to wear like that?
