So everyone always probably wonders whyyy i hate Ksport so much...
here we go.
Passenger Side
This pillowball mount doesnt move at all. FROZEN

Drivers Side
This perch on the bottom doesnt move, height is non adjustable because it's frozen. Also Shock has gone bad looks all beat up casue we took an air hammer trying to move that effen perch
Rear Passenger Side
How the eff does this happen to the bushing?

only one that was ok was the Driver side rear.

Gen 1 or Gen 2 KSports? I heard that the Gen 2s didnt have any issues

Konis, they're more expensive, more work to install the fronts, but worth every penny. Pair with Eibachs, or Ground Controls if you really need adjustability.

haha i know
installing them wasnt to hard on a friends. I just cant wait to be lowered again already...ugh

haha naw it's all good. I've heard good and bad things about them, but different cars too. I've heard people that love them and hate them, but they have their fair share of issues too apparently

im on forums all day too lol but that doesnt mean i know everything about a car. I just want to know what JP thinks are good coils. I loved my teins on my previous car.
Online

thos esaying tiens suck, ive had both teins and ksports, ksports are crap, i could tell they werent the strongest
my teins, ive put through so much shit, and they still hold strong, and the ksports i babied, and when i upgraded i could tell much wasnt left for them
my teins have been through off roading(on accident haha) and i drive my shit like i stole it, and they hold strong, and for a mesely 75 bucks a damper, they can be overhauled by tein, and that included return shipping, only thing additionally i would have had to pay was shipping to them(for all four would have been 30 bucks)
ksport, and im local in az, and theyre based in chandler, wanted about 120-150 a damper for the same service, even though im local, it would have been more expensive

i absolutely HATE them.
who wants to buy em

I don’t think jp is talking just about build quality alone
But dampening quality
The teins are built well in terms of reliability
But if you refer to mike kojo’s pages
He will tell you their dampening quality sucks compared to koni or
Bilsteins [my personal favorite] which they don’t make for our cars

my .02
All the Japanese made coilovers have almost 0 dampening. They go from driving down the street to full stiff with no in between. The JIC's I had held up well minus the pillow ball mounts getting very stiff, along with the adjustment knobs. We ran Teins on my buddies RSX for Autox and they were horrible. No real dampening. We switched out to buddy clubs and they were a tad better. Build quality varies it seems with all these coilovers depending on when you buy them.
IMO the best route is Koni/GC. Koni shocks are proven winners, period! GC's with Eibach springs are so flexible you can get any combo of setups out of them. I understand that people with limited car knowledge, or lack of tools and space my be turned off by the koni setup becuase of the amount of work that has to be put in, but if done right it will out perform any coilovers.

most jdm shocks are decent at best. if they were really THAT good.. jdm race teams would use them.. guess what.. they don't
they use ohlins, bilstein, koni, moton, kw and aragosta. which are all european!

You are exactly correct. While the build quality is good, it seems to differ between when you buy them.

did you custom make those strut housings? I like them alot. there was another guy on b15sentra. I forgot his nam. He took the stock housings and welded on some custom spring perches for the GCs. I thought that was really realy pimp.
oh and my JICs are blown all the way around. The adjustments are also rust welded so I can move shit....it sucks.

Those are a buddies custom housings. I have Motivational Coilovers which are pretty much the same as above.

Yeah, thats where it gets tricky. Motivational stopped supporting the Sentra community about 5 years ago. So you need to custom make them, or pay some bucks and get something from Advance Design, Pro parts, Bits and Pieces, KW, etc!
I'm running 350/350 for spring rates with 8 inch spring. Shocks are Koni single adjustable. Motivational rear upper mount for more travel in the rear.
