Tuning is a possibility. Gains depend on the car, anything from 2-15whp seems to be the average using an SAFC2

sorry to thread-jack but instead of starting another thread....god knows there are millions...haha.....I'll just ask my question here
Sooooo.........if I install an aftermarket header/midpipe/catback/CAI would I need to retune my ECU?? I am thinkin I won't have to.....But I was talking with a guy at work today and it got me thinking.....so now I'm not sure

your stock ECU? no safc or anything?
if stock, no you don't. the ecu will adjust itself. you could leave the negative battery terminal off overnight to clear any long term fuel maps if you like, but it's not required.

I thought the ECU readjusted accordingly.....but the guy at work had me second guessing myself
