should i tune my specv??? advice? thanx

i have an 02 spec v with cold air intake, header, catback, exhaust, crank pulley, motormount inserts, racing clutch and lightweight flywheel, and bsr. i want more power but dont have the big buck to go boost. should i tune??? any suggestions will be appreciated. thanx.

Tuning is a possibility.  Gains depend on the car, anything from 2-15whp seems to be the average using an SAFC2

sorry to thread-jack but instead of starting another thread....god knows there are millions...haha.....I'll just ask my question here


Sooooo.........if I install an aftermarket header/midpipe/catback/CAI would I need to retune my ECU?? I am thinkin I won't have to.....But I was talking with a guy at work today and it got me thinking.....so now I'm not sure smiley-unsure

your stock ECU?  no safc or anything?

if stock, no you don't.  the ecu will adjust itself.  you could leave the negative battery terminal off overnight to clear any long term fuel maps if you like, but it's not required.

thanks for clearing that up smiley-thankyousign I thought the ECU readjusted accordingly.....but the guy at work had me second guessing myself smiley-tongue
