gurov used his awesome skills, and found a contact to see how many B15 SE-R Spec Vs were ever sold.
Thanks to John Schilling from Nissan for providing this information.
2002: 8,800
2003: 7,800
2004: 6,800
2005: 3,800
2006: 4,500
31,700 in total
We are not sure those numbers include just base SE-R models...

We are not sure those numbers include just base SE-R models, but those are the numbers for Spec Vs.
so if spec v's are suppose to make up 9% of all b15 sentras... how many sentras overall were sold? a lot!

According to Mr. Schilling, SE-R Spec Vs made up only 6% of total B15 Sentra sales for those model years.

31k out of how many total units sold? I've always wonderd what percentage of sentra production were spec v's ----- nevermind, reading the whole thread owned me. So if my math is correct that means that there were almost <400k total units? Damn. I wonder if that statistic was for QR powered sentras or if it didn't include base Se-Rs

About 525,000 Sentras total....
So 31,700 out of 525,000 makes the Spec V a semi rare car in that way...

I just know what John Schilling said in the email. He is Nissan's Product Public Relations Senior Manager so I suppose his numbers and figures would be correct.

here in PR I'm always looking for a spec V and it is super rare to see one, but you do see a bunch of regular b15. so i guess you'r right it is a rare car

Where I am here in Cali It's not hard to Find a Spec V yet.
However, even here Spec V are rare compared to other 'performance oriented vehicles."
Civic Si's every street corner.
Subaru STI's every block
EVO's my mom has one.
Spec V's.. i can count them with 2 hands. I haven't met all the owners of these Specs yet, and this is in a town of 65k.

True....same here in Ft. Bragg, everyone has Scion Tc's, Civic Si's, Subie Impreza WRX's and STI's and EVO's. I've met personally only met 4 other Spec V guys out of 10ish or so I counted.
