Question on cams

Hey so the next thing on my list to research is cams.

Before I get into the more technical part all I really need to know is if the B15 has different cams from the B16 and if there is a difference between the SER and the SpecV.

Thanks!

Re: Question on cams

it hasnt been determined if the cams are different between years.  According to courtesyparts.com the oem part# are the same but I dunno if I really trust em cuz it says our radiators are the same, clutch are the same, flywheels are the same AND our seats are the same (which we know arent)

Re: Question on cams

if its the same design, the lobes fit and shit, then we can use a b15 intake cam in our exhaust cam spot and get top end

Probably won't need cams with a turbo.

The BC cams are gigantic, I kinda wonder what they'll do......will be tested very soon.

Re: Question on cams

im hoping one of 2 things... BC makes a nice turbo grind, travis makes a nice turbo grind or i can swap for 2 intake cams... either way, i dont wanna do it twice, so when the head comes off, cams should go in

eh, it's not that bad to swap cams.  Don't have to take the whole head off for that.

Re: Question on cams

well i think that the cam has a third lobe because the motor doesn't have egr its built into the cam so it might need to be tuned after.
