Free flow CATS on an 07 Spec V

Hi guys I'm new to the form so I don't know if this subject came up yet?  Do any of you guys have any details on using free flow cats with an Injen CAI to boost power? Is it worth replacing the cats to get more power over stock?

Just buy a vrs exhaust...and have no cat. Well pre-cats, but no main cat.

^^ ditto.  unless where you live is gonna be harsh on testing and checking for a cat then just get the VRS.  it comes with a cat already and bolts right up to the stock midpipe.  there's no O2 sensor behind our main cat so there's no worry on throwing a check engine light.  I've done this on my car and it's an awesome piece of work with very nicely done welds and pretty inexpensive as a catback especially when compared to some of the prices for an axelback.

See that's the problem I live in New Jersey if they could crawl under the car to knock on the cat they would.

So you guys have not had any lost of power with less back pressure?

Re: Free flow CATS on an 07 Spec V

Topemd doesn't mean that much to me going from light to light but I do like having a torque monster.

Basically my 07 spec v is my everyday driver. I'm looking to wake the motor up alittle for now and then do some serious mods when I'm over 30,000 miles.

Re: Free flow CATS on an 07 Spec V

I put a Apexi WSII universal muffler on with stock piping and a Injen Cold Air Intake and that woke my car up ALOT! I wouldn't open the exhuast up to much more becase it's pretty free flowing as it is and you will lose torque like others have said. I am like you I love torque!
