nology?

anybody (jeff) know if the nology hot wires setup will work on our cars from the B15?  I'd love to do this but i don't know if the brackets and sleeving and whatnot will work.

edit: I said jeff because you've already been there done that as far as checking out the spark plugs and stuff. not necessarily the nology stuff but you've seen the differences in the b15 and b16 qr25s

Re: nology?

The nology wires dont do jack even for the b15s. So IMO I wouldn't even bother with them on the b16s. They look pretty though smiley-nixweiss

Re: nology?

yeah man, they are a total waste of money.  We have the same style setup as teh b15 so im sure they would work.  Our ignition system is fine as is but if u really wanted to, yes, u could use these.  The spark plug boots havent changed in size at all, just the actual diameter of the plug.

Re: nology?

cool, I would prolly do it more for the placebo effect not really expecting gains and the cosmetics of it.  ANYTHING to increase the engine bay's appeal is a go in my book smiley-read

Re: nology?

I've been broke so haven't looked into it.  as far as i can recall, i think the support bracket used on the B15 is actually opposite the valve cover from ours, all the cables come from the opposite direction.  i don't know how that would come into play as far as trying to mount it all.

you have spark plug wires.... pull off a coil and what goes between the coil and spark plug is the spark plug wire.

Re: nology?

you can paint the top on the coil pack.  It wont harm anything, as long its the top of the coil pack.

Re: nology?

I"m kinda lookin at going for a LOT of red.  even the valve cover.  i wanna do the coolant lines, most of the electrical wiring, get an Optima Red Top and other stuff too, but i don't wanna go overboard.

Re: nology?

i honestly don't want it to look tacky.  i just want some of my stuff to match.  If i can get it to look like the wiring job i did for my computer i built, iu guarantee you will be impressed.  EXTREMELY tidy and organized, but very blue.  only i want red in the car.
