couple kills with 17.5 psi

I played with movie maker a bit too much. I have wax now for green screening, so expect to find a spec-v in strange places around the world! smiley-laugh

No bitching about the song, it's volume, or the low volume of the original video. I just don't car smiley-wink

Re: couple kills with 17.5 psi

What did it run? slow. The track was not hooked up and even the 4 wheelers on slicks couldn't keep traction.

My best was a 9.1. My best last time was 8.89 before the 2 stage boost control (which is incredible help with launches and keeping 2nd gear under control.

Don't care if you want to hear the engines. My shit is silly quiet anyway smiley-wink

Maybe I'll post a direct copy of one of the runs without the music if I get bored later.

Yes the rx7 is actually a 300zx because I was tired as fuck making the video yesterday.

Thanks!

Re: couple kills with 17.5 psi

No, I am considering it (just for 1st gear to lag my boost) but my boost control is via a Greddy Profec II spec V EBC w/ a handy dandy toggle button.

I guess I would run a switch into the cabin to flip right before I shift into 2nd. I do have the hardware sitting around though, just haven't had time to install it or my turbo timer.

Re: couple kills with 17.5 psi

close to 90 usually. I had one around 85mph@9.1 but with track conditions the way they were (shit) I didn't beat my last times dispite running more boost, with a 2 stage (launching as low as 6psi, it wouldn't hook up)

I need to take it to a real 1/4 mile track to get some real numbers if they aren't willing to invest in making the track hook as it should.

Re: couple kills with 17.5 psi

like I said, track conditions were rediculously bad. There was an oil spill or something and I was getting 2.5s 60' times.

I have no idea on power. Maybe 350ish? My butt dyno is worthless.

Re: couple kills with 17.5 psi

spinning isn't the word. I had 1st gear down to 5.5psi or so and RICH AS FUCK and it would still break traction with me babying the throttle. There was no stopping it unless I bogged at full throttle and even then it was only a 2.3-2.4s 60'.

It wasn't me, or the car, it was the damned track. The 300zx I raced spun all the way down the track on his first run, and on the next 2 (when he raced me) he spun over 1/2 way down the track. As soon as he got into 2nd gear it just broke loose and that is when I left him in the video. If you notice, he was catching up when I got close to the finish line.
