Ouch, man. Same happened to me a couple months ago. I blacked out and smoked a curb.

The rim got scratched and the tire has a bit of a chunk missing out of it.

I'm just waiting until I can replace all four of them at once and be rid of the stockers

I guess cause the car is front wheel drive. The tread was a bit different on the new tire and I believe it was a y tire not a w tire. For a while I thought it was  the alignment until I had three different alignments and it did not fix the problem.

they still make the Contact sport 2 P225 WR45 R17 as far as I know.  The guy told me $272 dollars and I about shat my pants.  Yeah I have the new tire on the rear as well.  20,000 mile tire and a 0 mileage tire would not drive very evenly.  The thing I like about the stocker tires are that they have those 3 or 4 deep channels for driving in the rain.
