I'm sure at least a few of you have seen ads for this. I called today to ask about it for the spec and this is what they said:
Company: Blitz Performance Sales, Inc
Subject: Throttle Controller
Guy's name: Toshi
Tel: 626-839-8350
Location: 17300 Railroad St. Unit D
City of Industry, CA 91748 USA
The concept of it is to have multiple maps available to choose from that all vary throttle sensitivity for drive by wire systems like ours. There's also an optional reverse lockout harness. The part is for a 2007 Nissan Altima with the QR25DE. He said it does not route to the ECU, but goes directly to TPS on the throttle body. It's a black box that alters the signal for the throttle.
I'm guessing it takes the incoming signal and fools/alters it to send a higher voltage signal to the TPS??? Not sure really. I asked would it work for the 03 spec v being that's what I have and he said he's not sure. I told him essentially the same engine just in a different chassis and he said they would need a test car to figure it out.
It does not gain power! Just allows the throttle response to be better and have a more effective response curve. But in situations where you are experiencing lag because of pedal response you could see performance gains I think. So if anybody wants to be a guinea pig....
He quoted a 30% off deal for first person who brings by car to test fit!!!
Now as far as 03 range vs 05 range vs 07 range I'm not sure of the differences that might relate to this part.
Anyway hope someone is willing to check into this and find out what's possible. Something else that may help the community. I would but I'm in Texas and I don't have the money to try it right now or go out to California.
There's a video of one on what looks to be possibly a Lexus IS on youtube. Just search up "blitz throttle control in action".
Downside:........$420 seems a bit steep!!!

Sounds cool but expensive, They have them on ebay for 357 plus 15 shipping. The nice part is it has four different settings economy, and three sport settings. seems like it would be worth having for the autotragic. But then again for 372 dollars I could buy my MMI, header, and BSR kit that i'm saving for and those would be money well spent in comparison. How about a 50% discount for the first person???
