doock87 / 2005 Scion tC / Chicago, IL

Woop woop, showoff thread!

This is my car, a 2005 Scion tC. Right now it's got bigger wheels and tires, an Injen cold air intake, Fidanza flywheel, ZEX 75hp wet kit, and an electric exhaust cutout. It's pretty sweet smiley-tongue
I'm also dropped on TRD springs and TRD dampers. The springs are supposed to give a 1.5" drop, but they've settled to more like 2.5". I like the way it handles and rides, pretty solid.
I'd like to get a turbo on it within a year. It's slow right now, even with the nitrous. I pull about 1/2 - 1 car on a spec-v from 40-90mph.

My car is only pretty at night

Can somebody say TRUNKSPACE
http://doock87.myspecv.com/nitrous%20bottle%20view.jpg

My nitrous setup right now is kindof retarded, but in a cool way. The big toggle switch toggles the button in front of it between horn and nitrous arming. I flip the switch forwawrd for nitrous, and back for horn. I wanted to use the center pad of the steering wheel, but i burned something out back there smiley-sad

I don't know any details about my wheels other than they're 18x8", 45 - 50mm offset, and a 5x100mm bolt pattern. They're also heavy. Very heavy. Ask Redlinehax how heavy they are.

That's my car! I'll update with more pictures when I do something picture worthy!

Bump for pic

Yes that really is my car. Yes I'm surprised as to how good that picture looks, too. Taken on a Canon 30D with much time in post-processing.

Oh has it got subtle tweaks. So subtle they're almost not there.

I'm pretty sure the wheels + tires weigh in the neighborhood of 50 - 60 pounds smiley-sad

wow 50-60lb per tire/rim??

so you steering wheel doesnt work with the horn now?

aside from those, i like the tc style. that was one of the cars in consideration before i bought a spec.

TC's are such clean looking cars. Keep up the good work and nice choice in vehicle!

Re: doock87 / 2005 Scion tC / Chicago, IL

i like the look.  definitely turbo it, or non TRD supah-charger,  I raced one of you bastards back when I first got my car and I would pull on him from 40-95 and then he would scream past me after that.  Definitely think it was on spray cuz I drove  stock one and the top end isn't THAT good.  Looks sick though.

I definitely like the tC.  When I was car shopping my final decision was between a Spec and a tC.

Top end on these cars is non-existent. I pulled on redlinehax's car on spray from 40-90.

I have no idea where I'm going with this car. I may supercharge it this summer, I might not.

Yeah, stock they are nothing special speed wise.  However, you do have the benefit of having an insane aftermarket available.  There's a million and one parts available from a million and one places.  Huge potential in that car
