Re: CAI post install question?

well i fixed the vibration...the T-Hose was sitting on the brake fluid reservior and that was sending it down through the pedals. SE-REN I would suggest that you look at the T-Hose that connects to the throttle body to make sure it isn't touching anything if it is twist the end that opens to the from of the vehicle up and re-tighten all the clamps (because you had to loosen them to do that). I got in to my car and drove it around and no pedal vibration. I will wait a week and look at my MPG then the computer probably has to learn all the new setting and that will take some time.

Re: CAI post install question?

The ECU reads the increase in air all kinds of crazy ways until it adjusts. It took my car about 3 weeks to fully figure it out, probably less because someone in there I did the TBB and the computer took time to adjust to that too.

My MPG did go up.

I will take a look tonight when I get home...but there was a random hose that wasn't connected to anything when I took the stock system off. It was ziptied to the MAF wiring so I just ziptied it up again.

I will take pics and post them up later.

Re: CAI post install question?

I'm pretty sure the hose is connected to the transmission as a breather hose or something IIRC.

Re: CAI post install question?

It's a breather hose for the tranny. The se-r might not even have it cause its a cvt. That could be why your not seeing it.

Re: CAI post install question?

I finally installed my CAI and I do get a significant vibration at times.  It's not just a vibration, it's also very noisy.  It's worse when I'm in 6th gear and I give it throttle to pull from around 65-80 mph.  It goes away after 80mph.   I checked my hoses and the intake and I can't find a contact point that would be causing the issue.  I need to inspect more.

My MPG has gone up as a result of this new mod I believe...i'm getting 22.5ish at the moment.
