short shifter TWM

So I went today at TWM to take measurement. It's gonna be something on the transmission that we'll have to replace, its located under the battery and looks like a hammer... They say it will reduce throw by at least 25%. I feel very good about this company, they seems very professional. The only thing is that they have to order the part and last time it took a month to get the shifter so I don't know how long its gonna be. I took some pictures of the part and some knob they have that fit our car.

Nice! Are they planning on reducing the actual height of the lever, I think a 1/2 " drop would look very nice on our shifter.

1/2" isn't much thats why it's good reducing the throw by 25% and the height by like a half an inch is both a functional as well as cosmetic upgrade.

I'll probably buy a weighted M1 in satin when I buy the shifter and change the MTF to synthetic all in one shot.

Thanks for the explanation. I plan on going short throw as well. Also, a weighted knob also sounds nice. Sometimes, 6th gear doesn't play so nice.

Also, is there a leather-wrapped weighted knob? I think having one wrapped in leather would do well for grip. I can't get one, I may entertain the thought of fabbing one. It's just an ideal. Don't kill me!

ive been talking to act and stuff.

seems as though are car is not too hard to get stuff to bolt on, but i think we have a self adjusting clutch.

so there may be some issues.

dont know what though, never been done before.

just talked to frank,

they have done the design and are in the process of building the prototype. They will call me to go test the prototype once its done.

Hi guys, my car is at TWM right now, they showed me the short shifter and it seems really nice (they dont want me to say much but believe me...). They told me it will give an aggressive result, and if everything goes well today, it should be for sale in 2 weeks. My car will probably have it by tonight so I'll let you know how it feels.

hi guys,
I just got my car back today and they had to remove the short shifter for production so i don't know how it feels but frank told me the throw will be reduced from 4.5 inch to 3 which is the ideal throw in their opinion. The shifter will be for sale in a 2-3 weeks time frame.
