they have to prove that the mods caused the damage to your ECU due to some warranty act passed a few years ago.  I would say you might be screwed but I dunno.

it will start for like two seconds if you mash on the gas but then it will just sit there and backfire while its runnin took it to a shop (not nissan) first and he said the ecu is prolly f-ed so now its at nissan

you may try swapping crank and cam angle sensors around, just to see if one of them is jacked. worse than the other.
they're identical sensor.
