I called up 2kracing.com and order the injen CAI and an AEM Dryflow filter. The intake was $288.94 and $43.XX + S&H so around $340.XX. The guy I spoke with said ti could be anywhere from a week to two weeks for the intake. I am SO EXCITED!! From what everyone has said it is going to sound great and pull like a mother! WOOHOO!!
On a side note I would like to put a good word out there for these guys, I bought my muffler through them and now my CAI and they have been very nice and upfront. The main guy even called me when my muffler was on back order and asked me what I wanted to do. Anyways the places name is 2kracing.com and they have pretty good prices on there things and very friendly people.
That is all...

WOW @ the price, that's sort of expensive for an intake, IMO.

So I put it on last night and holy crap this thing sound evil and freaking awesome! It pulls harder and sounds better, I will get some pics and hopefully vid up later this week. But just some feedback there is a step in the instructions that is totaly pointless. It tells you to take 5 bolts out of the battery tray you only need to take the 4 top ones out leave the bottom one on. Oh and taking off the bumper was really easy. The only thing that I don't like yet is that the pedals viberate like a mofo but not that big of a deal.

I'm not a fan of oiling a filter because it has screwed up the MAF on other peoples cars before. Less maint on a dryflow and I have had that filter before.

what size filter is it? I'm looking into replacing mine with the dryflow. maybe just a item number or something.

This is the link to the place I bought mine from and the part number that is a direct replacment.
Part Number: 21-203DK
Manufacturer: AEM
AEM Filter
This company is really nice and extremly fair in there pricing. I bought the CAI from them and John, the owner or managar, was really nice. He told me that it was on back order and it could take up to two weeks for to get there. But it was here on Monday when i bought it on 7/22. I would highly recomend this company...
I hope that link helps oh and don't buy the one that has a hole for a sensor of some kind.

I haven't even used mine yet! My Injen CAI is still in the box sitting on my floor. I'm waiting for my full exhaust setup before putting it on.

That's ok buy this one now and then you don't have to worry about it for two years...
Lol at still in box...I couldn't have that much patience good for you. The whole system will sound freak'n awesome with an exhaust system. What are you going to put on your spec exhauset wise?

I'll jump on whoever relases the header first (Megan, API). Hopefully there will be a downpipe available by this time. I'll use a hi-flow cat. I don't want to be catless. From there, I'll probably get a VRM or BMS cat back with the Borla. My initial thought is to go no-Res. I always like to hear it without a res first. If it's not what I'm expecting, I'll try to use a small res. I don't want to use a large res like some people. I'm actually fond of noise (as long as it sounds nice). When I pull into a parking lot, I want heads to turn.
I'll install my CAI after I assemble my exhaust.

Lowering and wheels would be next. After that, I have to leave the Spec alone so that I can fix my 280zx. She's in need of attention
. I may actually put off working on the Spec until I get the Z to a better stage in her revival. She'll start but, she needs body work up the yin-hole. All old Z cars are super prone to rust. She's definately caught that bag.
