ok so now i have been doing more research on tuning for meth/water mixture. and this is what i have come out with..
on all the tune sites it is said to tune for 12.5/1 without the meth on then run the meth but when i talk to people on here they say they just tune for 12.5 with meth running.. those are 2 totally different a/f ratios and im just trying to find out which is right.. i cant aford to buy yet another engine so i want to make sure its right.. right now i just tuned for 11.3 or so with the meth injection running to be safe.. any and all comments accepted..

12.5:1 is too lean for NO meth, but with it, that is a good AFR

edit: so your saying you tune to 12.5 with the meth activated?? not before activated?

its a long read but seems that they are saying to tune for 12.5 w/o meth andthen add meth and advance timing..
so my 11.3 is super rich?? im already -22 out up top.. to get to 12.5 i'd be -30 or more out

Say you run boost juice for your methonal mixture, its a 60/40mix 60% is methonal, which, raise's the octane of the fuel. The other 40% is "water" which, Dispease's heat, so your intake air temps are cooler.
now running something like that, I would see how 13.0 works, with fatting it up to 12.5 at redline ON THE METH.
off the meth ,11.7 then with 11.3 at redline.

that is the good thing about meth, its sorta like running race gas. you can up the boost, toss more timing at the car and lean it out a bit

yea i got the whole a/f ratio thing down and i understand without and with.. im just asking if you tune with the meth running or you tune without it and then run it.. do you get what im saying?

You'll read something different in every article or on every forum. Right now I'm aiming for 12.0 a/f ratio WITH the meth/water mix, seems to be a happy medium as some places state 11.5 is best and others say 12.5 is best.

yea thats what i was thinking about doing.. what are you pulling out up top if you dont mind me asking.. im at 22 right now and im scared at pulling too much since the first motor went out due to running too lean.. i knwo your tune is totally diff than mine just want something to compare to.

if you tune with out it, then just turn it on, you will be going VERY rich.
you need to tune for it.
Now, how you have it activate, is up to you.

AEM has a new kit, that comes on with MAF voltage, which i think is kinda cool.

I'm pulling -26 @ 6000 RPM right now, but that is on top of the Turbonetics reflash.

i dont have mine rolling on til 7.5psi i run 10 max so at redline i am -22 right now and pushing like 11.3-11.5 a/f ratios
^edit: i thouhgt it was said its best to have it come on last min??

i think that a good afr to tune your meth to is 11.8-12.2...P.S. my meth comes on at 4 psi

hmm.. might have to do a total retune and kick the meth on earlier.. just worries me to run 12 a/f ratios.. dont wanna blow my stuff up... again.. (wasnt my fault the first time)

I run 11.5 11.7 at redline with the meth coming on around 3-4 psi. dont forget the nozzle that you use makes a big difference as well.
