Ive done some research about it, and I found out the cheepest way is to swap a 6speed. Then if you still want to, put the VQ in.

easier=Spec tranny, then VQ
more original and a hell of a lot cooler=Maxima AT (rebilt by Level 10 performance) w/ Supra Stick TCM piggy back then VQ
You can take most of the stuff from the 02 Maxima tranny and swap it in. There's just gonna be a lot more fabrication, and a litle bit more wiring than the manual VQ swaps....yes it will cost more, but with the tranny rebuild and the TCM piggy back, you should be able to beat the MT swaps....in theory, just need someone to pull it off to really find out...
