tach signal... pin 103 or red/yellow wire??

ive been searching i couldnt find a definitive answer. for 04s+ where do i attach the my tahc signal for my shift light. some said pin 103 but the signal was too weak and some said the red/.yellow wire in the back of the tach but many had problems.. i dont know plz help.

im looking for the same answer.. i have spliced both red/yellow and the yellow/red, both do not work. any one know..?

did you put wire in deep enough in 103? it has to be like an inch in
