Got a question for any one with a Injen CAI. Any problem when driving in the rain? I live in Wisconsin, lot of rain up here.
Where the filter is positioned is does not seem like it would be a problem and I have not heard any talk about this yet(from what I could find) so I thought I would ask.
Post up and let me know if anyone has encountered an issue when driving in the rain, so what kind of issues occurred.
Thanks

Your car is going to blow up even if it's sprinkling. Beware.

^^^ don't be an asshat.
now...
unless you are driving into ponds or stupidly deep water, your engine will be fine. so if you see some flooding, be smart and dont' drive into it, which is good advice for EVERYONE, not just those with CAI's.
some water splashing up on the filter is not going to harm anything. i've driven through lots of crazy rainstorms, blizzards, and even 2 feet deep of slush before with my CAI on my Spec, and nothing happened.

I drove in a crazy ass storm with my foglight out and it didn't ruin anything. Just steer clear of large puddles, ponds, swimming pools, the ocean..etc. etc.

As a sort of update, I can say that it stormed horrendously tonight and I drove though it for hours with no problems. Puddles included.

Most definately. When I had my Maxima, my intake was about as low as intakes go. I drove in all kinds of terrible weather and never once had an issue. Unless you plan on driving down a launch ramp for a boat, you shouldn't worry about hydrolocking.

I also had this concern after driving my b16 under a thunder shower so the next day that it cleared up i went and checked my cai pipes and sure enough i saw some watermarks. luckily you can solve this with injen's hydro shield
