Tunning for nitrous

when doing a street tune with nitrous.  What is it supposed to read on the wideband? 13 across the board as well? or am i supposed to treat it as F/I ?

Re: Tunning for nitrous

Tune it just like F/I. Mid 11's should do the trick. You don't wanna lean it out, that would be bad.

edit: I'm sure you know this already but you tune with the jets. Get your NA AFR's to 13.1 on the SAFC and then mid 11's during spray by adjusting the jets. SOME fine tuning is okay with the SAFC but be careful not to throw off your NA AFR's too much.

Re: Tunning for nitrous

oh ok kool, well what i was gonna do is on my SAFC2 have file 1 for N/A and file 2 for nitrous so each file will have different settings on the safc.  but i get your point.

Re: Tunning for nitrous

You don't need two files. Hi throttle settings will cover both the NA and N2O and then low throttle settings for cruising to save a bit on gas.

Re: Tunning for nitrous

just an update: I wanted to try a 75shot with advance timing by 1 degree and it's holding up, no knocking but the afr is set to 11.0 from 3k to redline.

get the fogger, spending the money for a direct port is not worth it.  For that you can almost get a turbo kit.
It pulls great, I've been to the track but havnt used it.  The rules are pretty stricked out there,  I need a nitrous lisence and a flame suit for the track.

Re: Tunning for nitrous

there shouldnt be any knock if done right.  It depends on your jet settings and your afr readings

Re: Tunning for nitrous

if it's under the 3k rpms your fine, thats just engine noise, try setting the knock sensor on your SAFC on a hot day.  You can also relocate your knock sensor to see if that helps

I ran mine at 12.1 or so with the 100 shot direct port
Around 12.8-9 or so with a 75 shot single nozzle and I havent seen it go lean yet. Kinda iffy keeping it that high on n2o though.
