or whatever its called? my friend was telling me when the engine is revved up there is torque or HP being lost because it twists forward but a torque dampter prevents taht and puts down more power and i heard they are cheap too. any ideas or comments?

you dont lose hp, you lose traction from the motor bouncing around.
same effect as mmi's.

Pop your hood and look at that massive torque mount on the left side of the engine. That's where the B15 torque damper went and it looks like Nissan responded by placing it there.
It definitely helps with wheel hop as I can't even get the car to hop on the street, on the track though :-\ I can't wait for MMI's.

Oh god, my wheel hop is horrible. But without that mount, its much worse.
So alex, You already have one, If you want one thats pretty, you can always paint it. I modified mine. Mine is lighter and poly filled, instead of the rubber mount that was there.
I get a little more vibration, but its worth it.

The inner ricer in me likes the B15 Weapon R tq damper thingy, but care to share how to mod them like you've done on yours?

Sure. First thing i had done was to shave off the casting marks and then drilled a hole in the flat section, and widened it. The weight reduction is very little but where every i reduced weight else were, im sure it has helped.
Then i made a simple wooden jig that aligned the rear section and the center mount bolt up in a way that it would stay there. I removed the rubber mount, Used wax paper on the bottom of the jig so the poly would leave a smooth surface. I filled poly to the outer edge of the inner bolt section, and taped more wax paper on top. Then i left it to harden for a week, It can harden over night, but i wanted to make sure it was fully cured before it went back on the car.
The mount is much stiffer now, and i do get some vibrations in the car on idle, but that was to be expected.
