Official FI-R QR camshaft group buy thread..

This is the official signup thread for the FI-R QR cam group buy.. Here's the low-down..

The cost of material has gone up slightly, because of fuel prices.. but, it's still decent.. The price will be 565.00 per set (plus shipping) at 10 sets. If we go higher than 10 sets, I will discount the price further, based on how many sets are sold. If we hit 20 sets, the price will drop to 539.00 per set.

Here's the offerings..

Non-turbo (N/A) grind, with stock springs (good for fully bolted cars with stock rev limiter)
Non-turbo (N/A) grind, with aftermarket springs (good for fully bolted cars with increased rev limiter, head work, and 3" collector/exhaust)

Turbo/blower grind with stock springs (good for all turbo/blown cars)
Turbo/blower grind with aftermarket springs (very aggresive turbo/blower cams, and good for 7500rpm with springs)

The stock-spring grinds are going to be very mild, in comparison to the grinds with springs.. The stock springs can only handle so much..

I will sell the springs to you guys at wholesale, plus shipping.. The cost will be 217.00 for a set of springs. They are good for 8K rpm, and will work with the stock retainers.

I will accept Paypal, or a certified check/money order for payment. Shipping on the cams will be a flat rate of 18.00, which includes insurance. No additional charge will be assessed if you buy the springs.

It will take roughly 4 weeks to have the cams ground and shipped out to me. I will run this group buy for 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 week period, I will stop collecting money, and send payment to my wholesaler.

These are blanks.. not regrinds..

Guys.. I really hope that I didn't put this together for nothing.. In the other thread, there were 3 pages of people who said that they wanted camshafts.. I set this up with my vendor, with that in mind. So far, I have 2 people that want them.

Hey, will these work exclusively for the B15? Or will it be good for the B16 as well?

I don't know much about cams but if all I have to do is replace the old ones and not mess with the timing of my engine then I would be down for getting these now. Or how difficult would it be to complete the installation of everything needed?

i would like a set with higher rev limit for t turbo application.. will have payment in two weeks.. just one quick question. have you heard these cams in a spec. I am trying to keep the sleeper thing going and was wondering if it is going to lope

Guys.. I'm going to leave this GB open for a little while.. I'll get the exact specs on the cams and post them up. But, in case you missed my thread last week, I've been forced to move out of my rent house, and we're attempting to buy, instead of rent again. It will be a few weeks before I can get back on top of this GB. So, this will give you guys some time to come up with funds, if necessary.

I'll keep you all posted..

Camshaft specs for turbo cams would really help so I can get some custom pistons ordered.

Damn... I just installed my JWTs last month. Travis are your cams going to run a more aggressive exhaust profile than the JWTs? I was reading another thread where BigJ was discussing using two intake cams in the head for a more aggressive exhaust profile. I'm on the fence about the whole thing. If the exhaust cam is not as aggresive as the stock intake cam (or the JWT intake cam) I think I would not be in. I'm kinda curious as to which way the dyno is going to gov with BigJ to make a call on this.
