whats up everyone! I know there was already a group buy setup sometime ago, I haven't even seen pictures of it but I've decided to fabricate my Very own Spacer made of aluminum to not add anymore weight to the front end and also a nice Simple Sleek look. I tested it out all week for water and drove different speeds to see if water would be an issue for the boosted guys being that my blowoff valve is in a vulnerable spot to get wet. After 1 full week of testing my motor bay was dry. I was astonished when I popped the hood. So anyway, I didn't test the heat aspect because the weather here in New York isn't like Barbados right now but I'm sure it will serve its purpose. So this fabrication is literally 10 mins depending on skill level of general car repair experience. I will try to post pics when I can. For those who know me I dont have a computer, just an Iphone. I'm basically wanna see how many I should make. I dont require a minimum. Hell if you as an individual want it done as a favor I can do that. I'm not looking to sell these things for 30-35.00 I'm asking 20.00 shipped for them. I do ask if I set this up, just add in the paypal fees. Guam and Canada, pays for shipping! Pm me if youre interested. I'm also mass producing approximately 10 Sets today and hopefully shipping tomorrow depending on holiday schedules for shipping companies.

Alrighty then. They are flanged spacers (don't exactly know why they are flanged on one side only.)
Might as well use washers IMO, but here go the pics.

I was told everything lines up, opens and closes fine, and latches perfectly. I don't understand exactly why he had to have these made, as it appears washers would work fine, and washers with longer bolts would work better. *shrug*

1st off nismored, I do apologize for the delay, evidently Ups F@#ked up but its all straight, I will pm you the tracking number.
2ndly, yeah you can use washers but i guess you've never seen my car in person so you wouldn't understand why. I dont half ass things just because its a cheap way out. I have ALL top notch items and Custom work done. Washers ehhh kindof cheesy looking. I appreciate taking the time and Money fabricating something that will work and look good! But everyone is different. Love it or hate it! Also thanks for posting up the pics, I need to really take the fabricating money and buy a computer. Thanks again!

Are longerbolts needed or will you send the correct bolts with them?

I just would have prefered something like BigJ/whoever made up. I think it was a hex shaped spacer with threads through it. Then it has a threaded rod put 1/2 way in so there is no worries about the stock bolts being long enough, and you just use the stock bolts to go into the spacer itself so everything is tip top.
Big_J mentioned there was an issue with using shorter than 1-1.5" spacers because it would rub somewhere. I don't know man. Your product looks great, but it looks like a flanged spacer or standoff I can order for far less than $1 ea. I wish you the best though, seriously. It looks decent, but I think I'm going to go the lowes route. haha

It's stock bolts.

do the dollar dollar bill yall! Its cool! The hex bolt thing ehhh, its was cool but my whole thing was you needed to get a bolt extender to bolt down the hood, and water still got in the motorbay, I tested that way in the rain and it wasn't too good. My way, I had no water at all all at 50 70 and 80 mph in the rain. I guess I will change the thread to Boosted Applications Only!!!! I was looking at the best interest of Turboed Sentras .(Blow off valves)

I like the idea I just wish they were taller. But it really the only thing you can do without using a nut extender. I think my car was in a wreck so the hood was a lot lower than the fender so with the spacer the back corner barely clears the fender. looks good though

Terence

nismored I'm revamping a taller set and I will ship you a set for nothing, give ne a lil time ok? I'm fabricating radiator shrouds now just for my car! I will pm you once the spacers are revamped. Do u have a cf hood?

John Mitchell-The One

nah, just a stock hood. Will the longer set be tapped for a screw. I had an idea about stud extenders from home-depot. If it is tapped on the inside for a certain size bolt, I could get that bolt and screw the spacer onto the hood stud, rest that on the hinge and then screw the bolt through the hinge then onto the spacer. Send me some pics of them when you get done. that would be cool man.

Are you 100% sure your Home Depot has them? I've been to a few, went to Lowes and parts stores and nothing is in a M8x1.25.

its based on the body style not engine...
so it should

Yep, these should technically work on any hood actually... most cars have similar hood mounts.
