Nice spec....please DON'T Rice it out like the camry. With that being said welcome. Take a look around there is alot of good inforamtion to be had on this forum and it is the best for specs. Loctite your butterfly screws and get a header are the first two things you need to do. Browse the b15 interior exterior for visual upgrade ideas or you can just browse through the showoffs. Enjoy your stay

dont knock the eram, that shit actually works, i didnt belive it would work until i got one and installed it on the camry, it added like 7-10 hp at WOT, and you could feel it too, also my vacuum guage i had read positive positive pressure in the manifold, its a legit way to get a little forced induction when your in college and have damn near no money

chances are it wont work for the spec... maybe JUST maybe the thing has enough power to boost a 1.8L but not a 2.5L.... put it back on the camry, you already have enough things to worry about being sucked into the engine

the camry was a 2.0, and im willing to give it a shot, considering i already own it, and im rebuilding the camrys engine right now, so its outta commision, i dont doubt that it will work less for the 2.5 but it should still do something, check it out at www.electricsupercharger.com. i did my research before buying, and they have done extensive R&D and i can attest that it will work on somehting up to 2.0L so its worth trying with a 2.5

pics of the eram thingy.. i think someone on here did a review on that thing. results were something like if it did work, it would only work in the high rpm range and when not being put to use, it actually killed the low to mid or something. im just making shit up now but yea. lol.
my friend goes to umass lowell, which is near chelmsford lol.
and i dunno what to say about that camry...

yea i hear ya about, the camry.. it was a piece, but it was a great car to learn on bcause i didnt havta worry about messing somehting up, becuase you CANNOT kill those camrys, i drove 5,000 miles on a radiator with literally 5 rows fins left, and it didnt leak, and the original clutch lasted 141xxx miles.
exactly, the e-ram really helps the high rpms most, and i had to try a few sets ups with it to get it to work, it will not let the car idle if it goes onto a cold air intake that goes into a fender or under the car, the piping is too long and its too hard to suck air through it. but if you attach it to a short ram intake routed to the coldest area of the engine bay ,it works w.o any adverse effects in low/mid range rpms.i spent 3 whole days last summer trying different configurations to get it to work right and let the car idle. (i also think a 2.0l doesnt have powerful enough N/A suction to get it through a longer pipe,) but i like it and its a decently cheap way to get some hp when you really want/need it at WOT.
and i havta say that everyone on this site has been extremely nice, every other site ive been on people have like attacked me, for trying the eram and the old camry, but you guys say your opinions in nice ways, i really appreciate it =]

Since when was a spec v a 2.0L???

i agree eram ftl. i'm just hesitant about what might get sucked into the car. imo if you have to keep the altezzas for a while tint this as dark as you can. i personally think that it'll look a lot better.

Offline

Al

yeah, altezzas (especially on a black car) FTL! Tint them out and just go short ram or CAI, its cheap and its proven.

eram would work best at low rpm..... Eram is not like a turbo/supercharger it doesnt increase voltage as rpms go up. It will give you the best increase while your engine is taking in the least amount of air and become less and less effective as rpm goes up

i was talking about the camry, that has a 2.0

thats how physically it SHOULD work, but it doesnt (at least for the weak camry) its so muhc harder to make an engine spinning slowly spin faster, but once the engine has momentum on its side, its alot easier to make it spin faster, so you actually feel the power more in the high rpms. (just my personal experience i know you feel it more in the higher rpms)

What did you get out of the advanced timing?

a little better throttle response i guess, nothing really noticible
the biggest thing i got out of it is the pain in the ass of havin to use 93 octane every time i put gas in it do it doesnt detonate and over the summer that was pretty expensive. i think advancing the timing has more effect the more mods you have so it can take advantage of those. but its only 2* so its very minimal.
