GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

Well guys...everything from before is settled and it's time to start another GB on these. For those who don't know about these they are a great improvement over the stock headgasket. I have pushed 30 plus psi through mine with ZERO leaks or signs of failure and I've been running mine HARD for over a year now. price on these is $103 shipped and I am accepting paypal only unless something else is arranged. anyone needing shipping to Canada needs to contact me  first. Turn around time from the end of the GB is about 45 days. the GB runs till June 22nd. All payments must be recieved by midnight on the 24th. If you have any questions feel free to ask away.

For those needing a master kit I can also get a complete master gasket set from teh same company

paypal is rmcomelek@cox.net

When sending payment include your myspecv.com name and your real name and address. failure to include your myspecv.com name can cause a delay in you getting your product

UPDATE* for those of you who would like headstuds. I will add those to the order for $150 shipped

I assume the head on the '07 QR25DE matches the B15's? Should keep you in business with these for years to come.

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

Should one replace their headstuds when they change the head gasket out?  Is AEBS still on back order?

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

you can change the studs...but unless your boosted there's really no point to it.....AEBS is still on indefinite backorder.....but i can get ARP headstuds

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

yes i am boosted, and i cant tell how old my engine is.  For the longest time i thought it was the original, but the long number above the turbo manifold by the headgasket is not the same as my vin.  Should it be?  But ya...  I'm boosted and never opened the engine, stock hg, its an 02 with 65k on it and boosted for 2 years, had it for 2 1/4.  Any help with my confusion?

Well didn't they change the head gasket somewhere during the 2003 production year?

Anyways Robbie you can count me in on this buy. Also you think we could get a group buy going on the headstuds?

Just to clarify, headgasket and head studs are $150 total, not $103 plus $150?

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

It's pretty involved. It's like doing header, intake manifold and cam shaft installs all at once. It's not hard if you have at least some experience working on cars, just tedious and time consuming. Realistcally expect your car to be down an entire weekend between taking it apart, putting it together and waiting for the RTV to dry.

gurov had changed his like 3 times in a year, and he has a thread full of pics and what not somewhere, but i can't seem to find it.  he'd be one to get ahold of though.

it's pretty damn involved, though.  like don't expect to drive your car for several days if you don't know what you're doing.

gurov had changed his like 3 times in a year, and he has a thread full of pics and what not somewhere, but i can't seem to find it.  he'd be one to get ahold of though.

it's pretty damn involved, though.  like don't expect to drive your car for several days if you don't know what you're doing.

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

It does look pretty involved (and fun too.). At my wrenching level and Gurov's pics, I think that would take me about 4-5 days.

Thanks Kain and Heidi.

Re: GB: Multi-Layer Steel Headgaskets and ARP headstuds

htown....he is doing a build so i offered him main studs as well as head studs......i didn't figure this was something most people would want b/c it pretty much requires the motor out of the car to install properly. so i didn't really offer it, but if anyone wants them added i can get those as well in the GB

Do the instructions come with a specified torque setting to the gasket?
