That's right, this is the first time I have offered any sales on my services for the SpecV crowd!
Right now I will be offering 15% off any ported and/or ceramic coated intake manifold! This will be the best bang for the buck you can get for any portwork for the platform! Pricing for ported intake manifolds (upper and lower) will be at $210 +shipping ($250-15%=$210) and $75 ($90-15%=$75) for the advanced ceramics option.
For those that haven't seen them, pics look like this:

and a customer testimonial:
fun times wrote:
finally got to really test her out last night. it was about 30 degrees outside. the car pulled really nice from 1st through 4th and really impresed me. it feels pulls harder and accelerates faster. i caught 4th barely but i believe thats due to the cold more than the manifold. when i came home i wanted to see how the coating held up and i can put my had on it and its not even hot! before i would burn myself on the strut bar it radiated so much heat out.
i made a catch can from the how to's this catch can and the one i had you must plug the bottom to prevent an air leak. after regular driving the plug (plastic knob wrapped in teflon tape) got sucked back into the can. this made an air leak and caused the car to want to die upon idle. i fixed it by glueing the bastard in there with gorilla glue. this tells me that its sucking harder since it never did this before it was ported.
I also have recently teamed up with a few company's to PROVE that porting and coatings can benefit just about any turbo application (this test was for a Neon SRT-4). MA Performance and AGP Turbo agreed to have FFP test an unmodified turbo kit, a ported kit, and a ported and coated kit to see what the true gains would be in a controlled environment. Guess what? even from the simplest design saw ~+17wtq/+11hp across the board with just the portwork and another ~+7wtq/+5hp when adding the coatings! Here is the dyno showing the stock, ported, and ported and coated versions. Good stuff!
And finally I am now pleased to be offering head packages for the QR25 crowd. I have valvetrain upgrades available (+1mm valves, Ti retainers, springs) and two port profiles to use for this application. There is no good 'cookie cutter' approach to heads so if you are in the market it's best to call or pm me and I can make a recommendation based on your setup and your driving goals. Pricing will vary but expect heads to start at $795 reusing the stock valvetrain and going up from there.
And some of you may not know but I have been off the boards for ~6mo or so and I have experienced much growth over this time. I used to be one guy doing this on my own and I now have one part time and two full time helpers to ensure that long wait times are a thing of the past
Expect timelines to be in the 1-2 week range now.
Feel free to check out the site www.ffperformance.com for more info or call/pm me 612-385-0419.
Thanks in advance!

oh jeez, no way. i didn't even notice you are from MN! i am in waukesha, about 30 miles west of milwaukee. my sister lives around minneapolis though.
hmm that means shipping an IM to you wouldn't be too expensive either...

I don't have any cores right now but I am looking into getting at least a few in the short term.... I think for this sale we would need your actual manifold to perform the services.
Yes, turaround times are great right now at 1-2 weeks or less 8)

Man, I wish I hadn't sold me spare head, and had an extra intake manifold.
How long are you going to be running this sale?

Heh, I have a band of porting gnomes that go inside the manifold and do my bidding.
In all seriousness, I have a few custom tools and processes that allow me to be more thorough than just about anyone out there.
Yes, the entire manifold (upper & lower) get worked on and the only area I cant actually get to is the plenum to runner area (~1-1.5" worth).
best pic I could find of the upper runners (this one was matched to a WPD spacer:

i'm with fob, my car is my daily so i dont know that i could go up to two weeks without it. if you could find a way to port spare ones then trade us our stock ones plus $$, i would be all over this.

i am probably giving him one of my IM's. so once he gets my stuff pnp'ed and whatnot, he will have an extra IM laying around and then i would assume he can do his business on that one and send it out to you and you ship your old one back.
just fyi.

Allen

yea, i sent him an extra IM to port. then ill be sending my stocker back to Bob

how much is shipping on an IM btw? cause if nobody else has dibs before me, then would it be possible for you to pnp/ceramic coat either fob or evil's extra IM? then i could send you my stock one? let me know, thanks.

That's kinda the whole point of this intro sale/deal. I need to stock cores for those such as yourself so when I do have them available, it will be easier for you
Shipping is generally cheapest thru USPS unless you have an account though your place of work with UPS or FedEx. It's really your preference but USPS ground on an intake should be less than $20 one way...

so are you sayin i can just use one of theirs, or would you rather build up a little stockpile of cores first? if i can use one of their extras then send you mine, im pretty sure you can add me to the list depending on how my next paycheck comes out but it should be a good one.

I will be sure to post up once I do get the cores in for resell. I don't think that I will stockpile them for a groupbuy or anything as they are just to spread out as far as when the are comming in.
Just stay in these threads and I'll let you have one of the first ones that become available mang!

Do you springs that will fit the QG18DE? Wanted to be able to rev higher later on without fear of valve float or something like that.
Dang I want this for my IM but no money and extra IMs to ship in, I'll just wait till I find another IM to use.
