I don’t know if everybody here knows these tricks or not
It is time to share them
Nobody here talks about roll out
We scream about peoples raw et’s
Both cheer and cry
We seem to think temp, altitude
,tune and tires are it
Not so friends
Theirs more round
To it
if it’s savy you seek
Check here
Take a peek

Lower your
et’s
I guarantee it
Since most of us are only interested in the lowest et
And prefer heads up racing to bracket racing
We are only interested in Shallow staging and Maximizing roll out
Forget everything else
Yes there are mistakes in the article
But if you hang on to what I just said you will be fine
How important is this?
Well
It just might on a short and slippery track
Let you run with cars your shouldn’t
And make the people think
You have the v6 you didn’t

Sorry
et= elapsed time
roll out is the distance the car rolls before tripping the the timing lights
the more rollout you can get
the faster the car is moving before it starts the lights
a large amount of rollout is really a rolling head start
on the clocks
some
ahhh!
Progessive tracks allow creative rollout expression
when you find these
smile
beat outrageous cars
but don't post them here

To summarize
Increased rollout lowers our recorded et
We can increase roll out by
Running lager diameter tires [225/45/17]
Running lower tire pressures [22-25lb/sq/in]
Very shallow staging at the lights
Even on a very tight track these may be worth a .1 sec
