my car will have the beautiful piece installed and dynoed this saturday, so we can have a dyno chart and some numbers for you guys to drool over

I'd also like to see a full pic if possible.. your post leads me to believe that this is a shorty header that DOES NOT include the down pipe, unlike the megan header your were working on getting that had both. Is this true? Any sound clips of it on your car?

EDIT: I call it a shorty header because all the Si headers available to us are race headers that bolt straight up to the catback. We only have 1 option that is not which is a shorty header that can be bolted up to a high flow cat "down pipe" that connects to the catback.

noob question but would it be worth getting it if I still have stock exhaust.. if I remember correctly, our stock exhaust isnt the problem it is the prectas in the header, so I should be good to go then right??

For solving that problem yes, performance wise it would be better to get it all done at once since you will still be restricted by the rest of your piping.

1. Will the header have any issues with performance if everything else is stock?
2. Does the header come with warranty?
3. How much hp do you gain from it?
4. Are there any irregularities caused from it that will alter the emissions test? (Will it fail the smog?)

all that horsepower stuff can not be answered until my dynoing is all done.

check the website for details... api stands by their products, and unless you install the header with some ky jelly and a sledgehammer you should never have a problem or any warranty replacements.

4.... you are deleting 2 catalytic converters, i think the smog situation speaks for itself.

if you wanna go fast, you gotta pay the price one way or another, also we will have a midpipe option soon. just has to get a nice one fabbed up

oh and people just to let you know... the stock exhaust isnt that bad, you should still see decent gains, but if you wanna maximize gains... i suggest a nice full headerback set up, about a 2.5 inch.

btw... horsepower varies on EVERY car, there are the variables of temp, altitude, dyno, engine, drivetrain... all of that crazy crap will be different on every car.

we may have to delay finalizing this project a few days...

i keep getting spammed by people wanting the intake manifold for the b15s and we may do that project first before finishing this one.

also the dyno we were supposed to use closed early today... so no baseline dyno FTL

so while my car is dropped off at api for 3-4 weeks. EVERYTHING will be pretty much made/tested/dynoed.

they will most likely email the link to the clips on youtube. and let everyone drool over the piece, oh and the turbo kit.

ok guys sorry for the delay.

we are going to try to get this out asap, its just ALOT of work.

since we have a deadline for this turbo kit to be done due to all of our supporting companies kinda breathing down our throat we have been sort of busy with that.

header will be first, and in fact we should have a stock baseline dyno no later than this weekend, then install of header on that car, and then dyno of that.

intake manifold will follow on a b15 shortly after, but at the same time there will be my car being worked on for the turbo manifold/piping and all of that good stuff.

i have been so busy, and my inbox is getting hit hard, so ill try to reply to everyone asap.

we are working on there being no check engine light.

we totally redesigned a whole new header to try to avoid this, and once its installed and dynoed we hope that no codes will be thrown.
