heh, we were watching that show the other night!

i feel you on the 5th gear... i missed it everytime because i am just not use to having to shift into that gear fast.  and gurov and i both feel your pain on awesome trap speeds... and lousy 1/4 times. 

but... coasted last 1/8 mile?  that doesn't make sense.  you're either running insanely fast, or you overestimated where you had to shift into 5th.  5th comes up pretty much right at the finish line... when i'd miss it i'd just cross bouncing the limiter, trapping 102 with a 2.6 60'.  there's no way you're shifting into 5th at the 1/8 mark... that's only halfway down the track...

fucking nice dude, thats a bad ass 60. I think you could have hit low 12s tho if you had made the 5th gear. I bet you were fucking pumped! next time I would suggest shifting to 5th slower. When I race and have to go to 5th, I always fuck it up, so the next time i had to do it i took it slow, well, not slow, but not as fast as i do the rest of the gears. I havent missed a 5th gear since. and with more practice, i will be able to shift into 5th faster, and so can you!

But thats awesome man, I cant wait to see it!

tru, im just guna be happy when i finally hit 12's.  it was also about 75 degrees when i ran, so when its about 50 i think ill do better too.

my damn dish network doesnt carry speed channel. i need to find another way to watch it. does it just show you racing, or does it show what you have done to the car and rich talking to you or anything like that?

I was confused too

i bet they guessed it extremely slow

when we were watching it, all the guys said really low times when it was an import.  and gurov and i were joking that a spec would pull up and they'd say like 18 secs.  kinda weird that a few days later you said you were going to be on the show...

I looked up the show on their website, but came up with nothing

haha yea im guessin they said somthin slow too, even the host told me when i was talkin to him that they hadnt been guessin very good when it came to imports lol

as for when the show is gunna air, i have no idea.  i looked it up on speed's website too and didnt find anything either.  im just gunna tivo every episode and see what happens.  im guessin it will be jan or feb though.  if i hear somthin ill def let u guys know

Hmm, I have dish network, and I watch the Speed Channel all the time.  What package do you have?  I believe the top 100 does not have speed, but I am fairly certain all the others do.  I think I have the top 200 or 250, I can't remember, the bill is in my roommate's name.

I believe speed has some of their shows on their website (speedtv.com). I've watched clips from fine tuned and Pinks before. I'll be sure to watch for your Spec on Speed!

I'm still trying to figure out how you missed fifth.  Third I miss once in a while, but I don't think I've missed fifth before.  Then again you're boosted so....

i actually havent missed it before on the track, i was so nervous though im surprised i had such a good launch.  i knew i would do somthin wrong though lol.  besides i cant let the whole world know how fast i really am

depends on the launch, on the old setup i went 13.3 on street tires
