again i wanted to do this and posting this up incase someone else does....this is also on my cardomain page, page 3......I think it looks good...
1.Remove the middle piece that your license plate sits in, there are 4 8mm bolts inside the trunk by the reverse ligh bulb, remove your liscense plate, and you have to yank the little white snap in the middle...pics below, in order..

2. Tape off everything that you dont want to paint.
3. Sand the reverse lights with 1500 grit, just to remove any gloss on it.
4. This is the paint I used...I was just blacking them out, not tinting them, thats just me...hehe...
5. Paint however dark you want them, then clearcoat them just so the paint wont chip.
6. Take off the tape and reinstall the piece doing step 1 backwards.
7. The finished product. The second pic is with the car in reverse.

i personally like how bright my reverse lights are, IMO it looks cheap when they're lit up because you can see the spotting, but thats just me, nice write up though.

i love how bright the reverse lights are, especially at night backing down a hill you aren't familiar with, i'd only do this on a show car

That's waht I was thinking. I'd just get some brighter hyper white bulbs and call it a day. But I'm guessing most of these guys live in well lit cities so they don't have to worry about that too much.

i've tried yanking on the little white piece in the back it won't budge. i took a plier, needle nose plier, etc it wont budge

when i did mine i just taped everything off and sprayed them with VHT ..i guess that's the lazy way..but i didn't like how it looked so i took the tint off...nice job though!
i also did my 3rd brake light on the spoiler..it's a nice touch if you're blacking everything out.

i never get pulled over for them, but then again my car is black so you cant even tell theres lights there cuz it just looks like the paint on the car. once a cop was being a dick and wrote me up for everything he could and he missed the tinted reverse's. but if your not a black spec then idk if you would or not

it's easier to just tape them up while they are on the car

A for effort. F for funtion.
I love the way I can see behind my car when my reverse lights are on. It's all about function over form for me. If it works then ok.
Does look good though.

ya i would tint them and not paint them cuz they really dont have a glossy look but i did tint my tailights though thats my opinion and im going to tint my reverse lights now but it looks nice on ur car but u cant see them when u reverse, i want to see mine cuz i have blue led reverse liights so i want to see them.... and ya people i have seen my friends get pulled over having there talights too dark but i have my lights smoked out so they dont bother me but if they are to dark they can give u a ticket if they are a dick so watch out but neways your car still does look nice good job
