GB: KOYO Radiator

Ok guys, right now i think I get the koyo radiator for $250. I ordered one and I'm waiting to get the invoice on Monday to see If i can pull this off. USPS.com quote me $35 express and $19 priority to ship the radiator. I STILL need to confirm this price but for $285-$295shipped I think it's a good deal.

I want to know how many of u guys would be interest in this deal so I can talk to the distributor about the price.

Koyo Radiator $285-$295shipped  Who's in??

I'm interested.  How difficult is the install?  Is it any thinner than the stocker?

+1, serously, space is begining to be at a premium under my hood.  Will a turbo manifold play nice with this?

i'm interested in slim fan setup to go along with this - as a turbo gets harder to put in with a thicker rad in place

Re: GB: KOYO Radiator

I just ordered some Flex-a-lite 210s.  Does anybody know if the Koyo radiator + the new fans would be any thinner overall than the stock setup?  Space is VERY hard to come by in that area under my hood!

Re: GB: KOYO Radiator

"The perfect setup"  - well that all depends.  Sure, it'll have GREAT cooling ability.  Nobody will argue against that one and for most people this probably is the best way to go.  The only thing holding me back right now is space.

DAMN I hope this setup is thinner than the stock radiator w/ stock fans.  If not I might be selling the damn thing, lol.

Re: GB: KOYO Radiator

this setup with slim fans is alot thinner i recommend this setup with any1 who is turbod... plus you can take the  fans out of the car with ease... my advice when installing the slim fans is to make plug and play connectors that make them easy to remove without cutting wires

Travis' VQ swap comes with fans, actually they're puller fans (mounted on the front) however the Koyo will still be fine for a VQ swapped car.

For those getting the FAL fans, they take some modification to get them to fit and look good.  I've heard of some people (240 guys have the same problem) mounting the fans at an angle to get them to fit.  The shroud is too big to fit overtop of the necks.  What I did to make for a clean install was to cut the shroud around the lower neck to allow for the lower radiator hose to fit around it.  Nothing a sawzall and about 45 seconds can't take care of though.

Koyo Radiators are NICE.  Also, the FAL 220's are fine, you don't need the extra junk that comes with the 210's.  My fans work just like stock.  Well, I take that back, I believe only 1 fan comes on with the A/C and now both mine come on.  Other then that its just like stock.

I'll also add that I know from experience that the KOYO and FAL 220's are just about the SAME as stock.  Maybe a touch thinner, but if so, not by much.  If you want room to free up some room, get some puller fans.
