did the ksports + brake lines + oil change on sunday.
1. rear right bolt on shock only in 1/2 way, OOPS
2. rear left bolt on shock not quite TOTALLY tight, but still alright
3. rear right brake line, not tightened, leaked everywhere
4. bled system BEFORE realizing leaks in rear lines
went to friend shop to bleed lines and adjust ksports last night...
1. forgot wheel lock to take off rims
2. forgot brake fluid to top off after bleeding
3. car sittin in the shop, i start to see oil. We put the car up, MISSING THE DRAIN PLUG. I guess I forgot to tighten it past hand tight when i changed the oil filter.
has to send a friend to walmart to get more oil and brake fluid. I was VERY lucky the plug musta came out RIGHT as I pulled up to the shop so NO BLOWN MOTOR!
lesson learned: check, double check and triple check EVERYTHING when u do an install.

Shit man, you shouldn't be working on your car...lol You are as good as techs at Jiffy Lube.
j/k I'm glad that you didn't fuck up anything too seriously... Next time double check everything.
Oh that reminds me. After I rebuild my engine I forgot to tighten the 6 LCA bolts - the ones which hold the LCA's to the car... I drove all the way from MN to AZ with them only hand-tightened...lol I was wondering the whole way down there, what the hell is clunking in my suspension every time I go over a bump.

That's why my dad always says when I'm done doing something "Double check those bolts" then tacks on "And don't ask me how I know that." lol
It's funny how we never listen to someone that has been through the same situation until we go through it ourselves

Could have been worse. On another board someone with an Audi recently posted that they had the exhaust apart and misplaced a nut. Did it fall into the turbo?
Helpful tip from that thread: when the intake/exhaust are open and there's a chance something might fall in, fill the hole with a shop rag.
