This is the Progress Rear Sway Bar Kit


Use a muffler stand to help you hold the bar in place, it is quite heavy to hold it and install the bolts with only 2 hands.
Make sure you add the provided grease inside of the rear bushings. This will help when you want to adjust the stiffness of the bar.

First Install the U brackets on the beam as shown, but do not tighten the nuts yet. This will help you hold the bar in place for the next steps.




Next use a 10mm wrench and detach the break line from the place pictured, make sure you do this on both sides.


Next, align the bar as in the picture allowing 1 inch to stick out of the bushing. Measure with the provided bracket and mark the place where you will drill the holes for the bolts to go in. When you drill the holes, make double sure the brake line is not behind where you are drilling. Start with a 1/4 in. drill bit to make the starter hole, and work your way up the size until, the bolt fits perfectly.


Tighten these brackets first, but not the ones on the beam. YET. Also reinstall the brake lines in their respective places.

The beam brackets can be adjusted depending on how stiff or loose you want it.
The further outside the brackets are, the stiffer the bar; The closer to the middle, the looser it will be.
After you are done adjusting your stiffness, tighten all bolts, and you are good to go.



Warning: Make sure you test drive your car before taking it to the street. This mod completely changes how your car handles. It will increase oversteer. Specially if you don't have a front brace.
