planning on some head building when my taxes come back. my question is is it worth it to get the jwt springs and a reflash to raise your redline to 7k or save for a sacf II and have money left over?
my mods this summer include pnp head, cam sprocket, jwt cams, oversized valves. my other mods already installed are in my profile.
thanks!

clearly its worth it. all the mod ur doing is for the head so ud get ALOT more power out of a higher redline than ur 6400rpm u got now.

Well you have to consider the cost. Of course its beneficial to raise your redline with a N/A setup but its not cheap. $500 for the reflash, $250 for springs, and the downtime while your waiting for them to send back the ECU. If its worth that cost to you to raise your redline then by all means go for it. Its not worth it to me, but that doesnt mean its not worth it to someone else.

I remember seeing something about just a redline raise from TS for $250, the full reflash $500, I would also get the throttle correction to give 100% throttle when you put pedal down.
I wouldn't trust 02-06 stock rods to much more than 6700-6800, I believe that because JWT said it. They are one of the few people to ever take a QR past 6250.
Just the redline raise is more like $350 + shipping. I emailed TS about it while back.
With stock internals I wouldn't rev the QR past 6700-6800rpm as BigJ said. With 4 mm longer rods you can safely rev the QR to 7k.

i wouldnt have any down time since i will buy a spare ecu. i thought the stock rods could hold that though. and you mean that when i push the petal fully its not giving 100% throttle?

No, the throttle only opens up where maximum torque is available. So if youre low in the rpms, and floor it, as rpms raise, the throttle opens more and more. you can see all this if you have an SAFCII. However, I think doing the throttle correction would only be beneficial to boosted cars.

thats odd, my car doesnt do that? and i watch the safc2 when i floor it alot.
I wouldnt do it if your not rebuilding the bottom end at the same time
